Originally bred to hunt rats and other rodents, this breed’s charismatic personality and seemingly fluffy white coat conceals the fact that these are true working animals. Westies are known for their cleverness and independence. These traits, combined with their confident demeanors, make these terriers one of the most popular breeds for new and experienced owners. As a member of the West Highland White Terrier Club of America, we follow the health testing recommended by this AKC parent club.
